I used in a sweet potato gratin. Layers were sweet potatoe, sour cream, spices sprinkled on cream, then cheese layer. You do this for 3 layers and bake at 400 for 40 minutes. It was tasty, but sour cream curdled and looked terrible. How could this be done without this problem? Thanks. Why does sour cream curdle when baked in a layered gratin?
The curdling or splitting of fat from whey happens due to the heat, my suggestion is to use a higher fat sour cream and make a bechamel sauce white cream sauces as base 1oz. butter, 2oz. flour, 3oz. milk, fold in your sour cream and the bechamel sauce will stabilize your cream and stay solid in your gratinWhy does sour cream curdle when baked in a layered gratin?

What are the layers of makeup that you put on?
i know theres concealer and foundation and stuff but whats the order you put it on?What are the layers of makeup that you put on?
moisturize, foundation, concealer, powder or pressed powder, blush or bronzer, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, lip liner, lip stick, lip gloss. All in that order. Good luck. What are the layers of makeup that you put on?
Starting off with a clean skin the first thing to usually go on is a primer though not that many people use primer on a daily basis. Then liquid foundation and/or concealer. Next powder foundation and usually last a finnishing powder, which is usually VERY light in both colour and weight. If you want you can go on to apply blush, bronzer and luminizer.
well basically this is my every day routine:
*wash face and brush teeth(most important)=]
*add moisturizer(nivea)
*foundation
*concealer
*mascara
*eyeliner
*eyebrows
*lip gloss/lip balm
hopefully that first part of 'foundation THEN concealer' helped because the foundations going to give you enough coverage as it is, and if theres any SPOT u feel is still noticeable you want to cover up then u apply concealer.=]
well first i use a thing to make my pores close. then i use olay moisturizer, then a skin color foundation, then i use a lighter one under my eyes and on eye lids. Then finally i use a light concealer for hard zits. AND FINnally i put a powder to even out all the colors.
after all that i do my eye and other makeup.
The putting makeup on lids, makes it so liner and shadow dont smudge!
According to Beauty: The New Basics by Rona Berg, if you apply your makeup in the following order, it will blend better and is less likely to smudge. Of course, you can skip as many steps as you like.
1. Foundation
2. Concealer
3. Eyeshadow
4. Eyeliner
5. Mascara
6. Blush
7. Powder
8. Lipstick or Gloss
Good luck! :)
1.moisturizer
2.face primer
3.green concealer
4.eyeshadow primer
5.concealer for dark circles
6.foundation
7.finishing powder
8.pencil eyeliner
9.liquid eyeliner
10.mascara
11.eyeshadow
12.blush
13.lip primer
14.lip plumper
15.lip stick
16.lip liner
17.lip gloss
on a clean and ready face...
1. concealer ( the creamy stuff)
2. let it dry
3. foundation ( powder)
4. bronser only on the cheeck bones dont over do it.
toner, moisturizer, concealer, foundation, and then bronzer.
And then the rest of my makeup.
I know many makeup artists that put on foundaton first then concealer on blemishes, under eye etc. then face powder to help absorb shine.

How to get layers to stand out more?
So yesterday I got my hair re-layered in the front from below my eye down, and my hair dresser had used a straightener to get them to stand out more, so I tried doing that this morning and I got my right side to work out perfectly, but my left side is kind of curling in instead of the layers standing out more.
Is there a way that I can get the left side of my hair to stand out more? How to get layers to stand out more?
get more volume in your hair, by putting in mouse or a very dry hairspray. How to get layers to stand out more?
clip that part up...it works wonders(witha fancy or cute clip)

How long must my hair be to have layers?
Cause the last time i went to the my hairdresser, wanting layers, she told me it was too short and gave me a blunt cut.
it's below my shoulders a little.
so how long must i grow till to have layers? How long must my hair be to have layers?
you can get layers in your hair no matter how ong your hair is unless its shavedHow long must my hair be to have layers?
My friend had a cropped, pixie like haircut %26amp; the hairdresser gave her some choppy layers in it...I really don't know what your hairdresser was talking about!...but you say your hair is a little below your shoulders so it's definitely long enough to have layers in it now as I have layers in my hair %26amp; its shoulder length!
Um your hair can be above your shoulders and STILL have layers.
It just depends on how long you want them. Like I have long hair so I get long layers. If you have shorter hair get layers that match you hair length. Just keep the number of layers to a minimum though because you don't want it to look like you have super thin hair.
oh you can get it layered now, doesn't really matter the length. Mine is at my shoulders, as long as you look good in it.
as long as it reaches your shoulders i think it shlould be fine. i think that was how long mine was when i got layers 4 the first time.
it has to be a little longer than that

back combing is kind of like teasing your hair. you take the back portion of your hair at the crown, pull it foward or up and tease it down with a comb or hairpick, then smooth it backwards. It would help if you have shorter layers on the top or back of your hair. I hate liquid eyeliner. I won't even use it, but revlon makes a couple of really good pencil eyeliners that are soft so try that. Or you could try one of those thick eyeshadow pencils in black. they make a thick line, go on easy. Personally, the whole back combing and overabundance of eyeliner is kind of on the waning side of fashion. I would consider doing something else totally different. By the time you get the hang of back combing and eyeliner, it'll be out of style. Look at some current foreign fashion mags for inspiration. The psuedo emopunk hair is kind of lame. I see a lot of hip kids in their 20s and 30s doing the old fashioned styles from the 40's on up which are way sleeker and . The rock hair that i think you're going for is kind of an 80s thing and if you pay attention to trends, some other decade will soon be popular, most likely the 90s (i know, totally weird, but i am seeing more flannel and combat boots than usual). don't go to so much trouble to do your hair, honestly, it makes you look self absorbed. just take the natural beauty of your hair and run with it. go to the ukhairdressers site for ideas.
backcombing: run the comb or brush from the tip to the root of the hair instead of the normal root to tip
Liquid eyeliner tip: pull your upper eyelid towards yor ear and apply, release when done
backcomming is teasing your hair instend of your combing root to tip you do tip to root section your hair and hold it up and comb down wards and for eyeliner: i really dont like liquid i use pencil but try pencil i really dont now how to use liqiuid sorry %26lt;333
For the eyeliner, try using a magnifying mirror so you can see better what you're doing. Some people hold the outside edge of the eye taut to help make it easier to get it even. Pencils are easier than liquid, thought.
From I what I see it's fine.I guess u would me scene I do use liquid eyeliner(i hate) I use it sometimes u just have to try and try again it took me the whole of last summer to get it but if u want tips I will give them too just email me.as for backcombing it's just another word for teasing this is how I tease my hair:
A good way to get lift up on top of your hair without back-combing, is to lift up sections of your hair and spray a good hold hairspray to the root underneath, immediatley after you spray use the blowdrier to dry the hairspray quickly and you will have great lift with out getting your hair all knotty, hairspray is the key to getting lift at the top

How many layers of roofing allowable in Az. on mobile homes prior to removal.?
I've had two contractor quotes for removal and replacement of my mobile home roof. One states Az. law requires removal of old roof with only one layer while the other quotes Az. law allows two layers of roofing. This makes a difference in the over all costs. Please advise. I don't have the recipe for that, but here is a recipe for a really good and easy to make cake that has a cream cheese filling. I baked it for Thanksgiving, and it was gone within the hour...
Earthquake Cake
Preheat oven to 350掳F.
Spread 1 cup chopped pecans on the bottom of a greased 13x9 cake pan. On top of nuts sprinkle 1 cup coconut.
Mix 1 box German chocolate cake mix (Betty Crocker) according to package directions.
Pour the batter gently over the nuts and coconut and set aside.
Mix together one stick of softened butter (1/4 lb), one (8 ounce) package of softened Phildadelphia cream cheese, and one box of confectioners sugar (1 lb).
Spoon out the cream cheese, sugar and butter mixture over the top of the cake batter without stirring it into the cake batter.
Bake in a preheated 350掳F for 45 minutes or longer depending on your oven.
The cake will crack in the middle. That's why it is called Earthquake cake!
P.S. It's really good when it's served warm...

The epidermis, dermis and hypodermis.

Need a good 7 layer salad recipe! Help!?
We're going to a cook-out this weekend and I want to make a 7 layer salad but can't find my fave recipe. Does anyone have a good one to share?Need a good 7 layer salad recipe! Help!?
This one has gotten great reviews on allrecipes =)
Seven-Layer Salad~
INGREDIENTS
1 pound bacon
1 large head iceberg lettuce - rinsed, dried, and chopped
1 red onion, chopped
1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas, thawed
10 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup chopped cauliflower
1 1/4 cups mayonnaise
2 tablespoons white sugar
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
DIRECTIONS
Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Crumble and set aside.
In a large flat bowl, place the chopped lettuce and top with a layer of onion, peas, shredded cheese, cauliflower and bacon.
Prepare the dressing by whisking together the mayonnaise, sugar and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle over salad and refrigerate until chilled.
Serves 12(you can adjust the recipe for more or less on the website I linked below)Need a good 7 layer salad recipe! Help!?
I make this one all the time for parties and stuff- real easy and very refreshing.
layer in large glass bowl:
one head chopped lettuce
chopped green peppers- about 2 large ones
one bag shredded carrots
chopped celery
chopped red onion- one med/large
one bag thawed frozen peas
shredded cheddar cheese
dressing- mix 2 cups miracle whip (or generic salad dressing) with about 1-2 tablespoons of sugar- spread onto cheese layer
then top with one pkg Real Bacon Pieces- or your own chopped cooked bacon
I layer chopped lettuce, frozen peas, crumbled cooked bacon, shredded cheese, hard boiled egg and then my dressing. I use a dressing that is made with mayo, vinegar and sugar ....but I know some that use only mayo on the top.
Layer Shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, scallions, red onions, cucumbers, shredded carrots and diced yellow bell peppers in a clear class bowl.
I would not use bacon..many people have diet restrictions nowadays.

Will choppy layers make my thin hair look better or worse?
I have thin, straight hair and I wanted to get choppy layers. I'm worried it's going to make my hair look limp and lifeless, will that be the case? Will choppy layers make my thin hair look better or worse?
choppy layers usually are used for thicker hair if you use them on thin it will probably make it look thinner because your getting rid of another layer of hair. Try getting long layers and use some type of gel to shape it so its not so flat...
hope it helpsWill choppy layers make my thin hair look better or worse?
It won't make it limp and lifeless. But don't get the super choppy ones. Go for the layers if you're 100% sure and bayas about it. :)
Actually layers make hair seem thicker!
but i dont know about choppy ones.
i had the same problem, thin straight hair,
but i got a few long layers and my hair looks thicker :]
yes i think it will make your hair look less volumized. Instead get a few subtle long layers. Also wavy hair always looks thicker!
Im not too sure about choppy ones, but if you get gentle layers it will make your hair seem thicker. Or at least it did for me.
yes it will without a doubt it will make it look thinner, and prob, worse
i don't think u should b/c u have thin hair i think it will look lifeless. good luck!
You shouldn't do it! It will make your hair look thinner and... ... disgusting!

Problems playing burned Dual-Layer DVDs with Nero 6?
Can someone answer why I am only able to play the first half (or layer if you will) of the dual layer discs I am burning with Nero 6? The burns complete successfully and my player can play other burned dual layer-discs that friends have burned for me, but mine will always hang about half-way through on playback. Any help is appreciated.Problems playing burned Dual-Layer DVDs with Nero 6?
You can burn Dual-layers with Nero 6, play the DVD on your PC does it hang in the same place as your DVD player, if so could it be that what you burn onto the disk is corrupted in some way.
Just read your Additional Details: have you tried playing your DL DVD on a friends DVD player ? if so, does it work now or just hang ?Problems playing burned Dual-Layer DVDs with Nero 6?
i thought that you could not burn Dual Layer DVD's with Nero 6. check that it is supported and if it not then you will need to get Nero 7.
the other thing that you can try is to uninstall nero and then reinstall it. it might be that something went wrong in the installation of the program.

Which TCP/IP model layer supports both LAN and WAN technologies?
It is possible to use all the different protocols at the different layers of the TCP/IP model for both LAN and WAN.
The difference between LAN and WAN is that LAN is a local area network (geographically small) and WAN is a wide area network (geographically large).

A good way to get lift up on top of your hair without back-combing, is to lift up sections of your hair and spray a good hold hairspray to the root underneath, immediatley after you spray use the blowdrier to dry the hairspray quickly and you will have great lift with out getting your hair all knotty, hairspray is the key to getting lift at the top

changing the part(parting it to the side, etc)? Are there any other ways someone can style layered shoulder length hair besides pigtails, ponytails, and?
you can use wax to create a little definition at the ends, rough it up a bit, or straighten it. or hair bands with little bits of detail to add some interest. my favourite is black band with a black and white spotty bow to one side of it. really good if you do part your hair to the side slightly because you can put the bow on the side with less hair to kind of balance it out.Are there any other ways someone can style layered shoulder length hair besides pigtails, ponytails, and?

Wat is the fluid layer in the earth called?
im in a science lesson and need the answer
thankyouWat is the fluid layer in the earth called?
There is a common misconception amongst the general public with regards the structure of the earth. Put in the simplest form the Earth has 4 distinct zones, excluding the atmosphere or hydrosphere. The crust is the uppermost of these, consisting entirely of solid rock (excluding intrusions such as batholiths). The next layer is the mantle, which is also solid, but said to be plastic (because it can move; but definately is solid). Only localised melting occurs in the mantle. The liquid layer is the outer core (and we know this because the Secondary component of Seismic waves which cannot pass through liquid, stops at the Gutenberg Discountinuity (Core-Mantle boundary.) The inner core is a solid mass of mostly Iron with smaller amounts of nickel and traces of other elements.
Hope this helps, but the mantle is definately solid and the outer core definately liquid (or believed to be by Geologists worldwide)Wat is the fluid layer in the earth called?
The only region of the earth that is believed to be liquid is the outer core. Because of the high temperatures and pressures the mantle can be considered solid although can be deformed under pressure.
Magma on the other hand is formed at relativly shallow depth that are characterised by high temperature and low pressure - within the upper mantle. In no way does the liquid outer core have any relationship with the magma that is ejected as lava.
If it is referred to water then hydrosphere and if it is referred to earth's structure then its core comprising of magma that comes out in the form of lava during volcanic eruptions.
The Core (inner) is liquid. The liquid is called magma. when the molten magma comes out of a volcano it's then called 'lava'.
Why the thumb-down?.. it's correct.
The word you are looking for is MAGMA The Oxford Dictionary says it is fluid or semi-fluid beneath the earths surface from which lava or other ingenous rock is formed by cooling.

You need to switch brands; make sure you are using antiperspirant not a deodorant. You don't need 3 layers. I use Mitchum, and one swipe does it.
I used Lady Speed stick before and didn't like it much. I recommend switching to 'Dove'...any scent you would like...I have found i works the best and you smell good allll day :)
I agree with the first poster, switch brands!
make sure it is an antiperspirant.
deodorants just smell and not stop you from sweating

Chinese Emperors have single layer eyelids?
My friend told me that, a lot of chinese emperors had single layer eyelids. In addition, he said that people with single layer eyelids were smarter/wiser than those of double eyelids. People with double eyelids, in other hand, were more attractive. Is there a myth like this? Please include sourcesChinese Emperors have single layer eyelids?

What clothing items would you wear in 2 C/36 F weather? Including all the layers?
Im from sunny oz and can't fathom the idea of 2 C/36 F weather, therefore i have no idea what to wear, how many layers etc etc. Could someone kindly tell me of what you wear in such weather or even colder!! (Including all the layers cos i've heard of thermal underwear but i dont know if its needed??) Ta.What clothing items would you wear in 2 C/36 F weather? Including all the layers?

where i live 36 is not cold. 5 above is cold and 5 below is getting rough.
there are a lot of questions to ask about your exposure to the cold, for example, will you be walking in it, is the area wet, subject to wind and stuff like that.

dress in layers, if you get to warm, you can always remove clothes, but if you get to cold, it is kind of hard to add more clothes when you don't have any.
yes, Magnetic is right, it depends what you're doing.
I'm from sunny South Oz too but at the moment I am working in Changchun China where the maximum temperature for the last 4 weeks has been below zero C. ( you're right, it is difficult to fathom until you're in it) Even when it was 2 above zeroC, I needed thermal underwear, several layers and I bought a feather coat here (no such thing back home). Most of the cities have homes, shops etc that are well heated so if you're inside you'll be fine, it's just the short trip to the car or other building that freezes your face! Depends where you're going but if, like here, you are likely to get 'Siberian' wind then you'll need a hat and a scarf! (or two)
I can give more detailed suggestions if it's any help to you
Thermal underwear is essential long-sleeved t-shirts and long-legged under-panties (leggings), usually made from special fibres but the cheap ones are cotton (t-shirt fabric). I'm used to this kind of weather and wear nothing but a sweatshirt, but for someone from a tropical climate I recommend wearing at least one strappy-top or undershirt (1st layer), long-sleeved t-shirt (2nd), sweatshirt (3rd) and jacket (4th). If you are really cold you could wear another short-sleeved t-shirt and 2 sweatshirts. For the bottom it is long underpants (cotton leggings or pantyhose or long-johns) and thick, heavy jeans or skiing suit pants.
You'll definitely need boots and a decent jacket - but it is always best to buy when you are there as the choice is more varied and the price is lower.

How many layers does a kimono have?
I have a school project and i need to know how many!!How many layers does a kimono have?
It depends on the kind of kimono. If you're talking about a yukata, then only two layers: the kimono slip and the yukata itself. If you're counting the obi as its own layer, then you would have three layers. That is the absolute minimum number of layers for a kimono outfit. Every other type of kimono, from the informal komon to the extremely formal furisode and tomesode, has at least one extra layer (so the outfit would go kimono slip, juban, kimono, obi). A wedding outfit would add yet another layer on top of all that, the uchikake.
That said, on some kind of outfits it's not uncommon to see people using false collars and/or false linings at the kimono hem to give the appearance of wearing many layers while actually only wearing the normal amount of clothing. For example, many women in furisode will add one, two, or more fake collars to their furisode, thus giving the appearance of wearing one, two, etc. extra layers, But in reality, those ';extra layers'; are just fake collars attached to the juban and/or furisode collar. You might also see bridal or dance kimono with what looks like a padded hem on the actual kimono, plus one or two other hems that look like they belong to underwear layers. However, those hems are fake, and if you were to look at the kimono spread flat you would see that the ';extra layers'; are really sewn right to the kimono and only go to hip-height or so.
I wouldn't count kimono accessories like zori, himo, tabi, and makura as extra layers. How many layers does a kimono have?
the minimum number of layers when wearing a kimono is 3 layers but it can be as many as 5 or 6 in more formal kimono Report Abuse
Putting on a kimono is an extremely detailed process that requires help even for relatively experienced Japanese people.
The necessary components for proper wearing of a kimono include:
chikara nuno (collar adjustment)
date jime/date maki (waistband/undersash)
eri shin (half-collar lining)
hadajuban (undershirt)
han eri (half-collar)
kari himo (temporary cord)
kimono belt
koshi himo (sash)
nagajuban (under-kimono)
obi
obi age (bustle sash)
obi ita (obi stay)
obi jime (obi cord)
obi makura (obi pad)
susoyoke (half-slip)
tabi (pure white, split-toe socks)
towels, pads
zouri (sandals)
Other important items you will need for putting on a kimono are a needle and thread.
Of course, you are free to wear or use a kimono, obi or other traditional Japanese garment in whatever way you wish. However, some might find it interesting that there are some very formal and codified suggestions for proper kimono appearance in Japan.
Some of these guidelines for single women are to adjust the kimono to conceal the collarbones, having the neckline at the nape in a V-like shape, and wearing the obi higher than a married woman would.
Some guidelines for married women include not being allowing the bustle sash to be too showy or prominent, having a smaller obi pad than a single woman, and having a U-shape neckline at the nape.

yes, Magnetic is right, it depends what you're doing.

Redken smothe down leave in
Nope and i bet they go curly to mine do : (
nothing apart from straightners work even when i straighting mine with a 100 quid straightners (GHD's) the shortest ones still manage to flick out. However rinsing your hair in cold water after smooths it down and for all the straightning products they do not work and most need heat to work anyways.
My advise is to go to the shop and buy the best heat protective spray you can find and just run the straightners over it lightly.Anyways your hair should be fine if you get it cut regularly.
Hope i helped xxx

Kevin, Liverpool, England. Can anyone tell me how to make a 5-layer liquid project for a density lab. i need to know the order too?
just take 5 different things, such as oil, colored water, and other things (all different colors) and see which go on the top and which go on the bottom. I you have to do it for class, you have to have talked about it.
if u could get a very dense liquid like mercury at the bottom(although its impossible 2 get) maybe syrup, oil, water, wihch all three should work, thts all i can think of
starting w/ the most dense liquid, and then going up w/ lighter ones. and they cant mix.
please help if you can.
thanx, and God blessCan anyone tell me how to make a 5-layer liquid project for a density lab. i need to know the order too?

When I straighten my hair the shorter layers stick out?
I've had layers in my hair for a while now but recently I had some quite short layers put in aswell. It looks really good but sometimes if I havn't washed and blow dryed my hair just before straightening the shorter layers stick out. How can I get them to be flatter??When I straighten my hair the shorter layers stick out?

How do you layer clothes?
lol i know this question may sound silly =p
but every time i try to layer my shirts it never works out how i intend it to.
so could you please explain to me how to layer shirts
and if you have like picture links of what type of shirts to use also post that
thankyou
=DHow do you layer clothes?
How to Layer Clothes
Step1Choose a camisole for your first layer. The camisole can be long or low-cut, lacy, sheer and any color or style fabric you like. If you don't have any camisoles, find a few that fit well, are comfortable and that you like.
Step2Layer the perfect tee on top of the camisole. If you like, you can even wear two camisoles of varying lengths, styles and colors. If you have a long red cami and a black lacy cami, you can lay one over the other so the lace or the color shows through. You can even switch them off so they can go either way.The tee, however, always goes over the cami. Usually, you want the tee to be a little lower or a little shorter than the cami so that the cami peaks out the top or the bottom. It should also be a little tight so it fits you well. Your black cami can go with a red tee, a forest green shirt with a brown cami or a white cami with a purple tee.
Step3Add more layers. If it's cool, you might want additional layers. Even in spring or early summer, it might be worthwhile to take along a light jacket or long-sleeved t-shirt. If this layer is thick, it should be your last layer. The point of layering is to have a slim profile. Keep in mind the colors of the first two layers and find something that matches those: yellow cami, red tee, white long-sleeved shirt and a black sweater. If your sweater opens in front, make sure at least one of your other layers is showing.
Step4Change it up. Want to try something a little different? Wear a cami over a tee. Wear a t-shirt with a pretty pattern over a solid-colored long-sleeved shirt. As long as the bottom layer is tighter and the top layer doesn't make it look bulky, you have a new, innovative look.
Step5Layer the bottoms, too. You'll notice that many people are wearing leggings or pants underneath their skirts. Though some think this is weird, if it's done right, it looks really nice. Solid-colored leggings can go with patterned skirts or skirts of a different color. Likewise, jeans can go with patterned skirts. Khakis can go with a solid-colored skirt. If you're wearing two layers on the bottom, limit the layers on top to one or two maximum as long as they are both tight-fitting. When you are wearing multiple layers on top, consider well-fitting pants on the bottom.
Step6Look in the mirror. Do you look bulky? Consider removing a layer or pairing things together differently if you look bulky. The key is to match, but to still be adventurous.

Well there are multiple ways to layer depending on your style.
You could have it like most teens and layer a tank top with another tight v-neck or low neck t-shirt or you could have multiple layers of tank-top, sweater, jacket etc....
Heres what I see alot of highschoolers wearing:
http://www.polyvore.com/untitled/set?id=…
nd when your layering it doesnt always have to match either like many people think it does.
Accessories always help to pull together your layers too. :)

Well, ur first shirt u were, as to be the longest. So it has to strch the most to ur lower body. Then the second shirt should be still long, only a bit shorter, and so on, until u r satified. However, don't overalyer, so no more than 3-4 clothes on u is good. Also make sure the clthes r diff colours so they stand out!!!
they have to match because if its out of the ordinary colors its going to look bad. so try putting like light pink with white, etc..
you can also buy pre layered shirts.

edit: start off with a tank top and add a loose V-neck t-shirt for a classic layered look

Try these looks for the colder months:

its really simple.....you pick a cami or tank top in one color, than put a short or long sleeve shirt over top of it that matches the color of the cami/tank.....it really isn't hard.
if you mean wearing a cute cami over a plain t shirt, that is simple too....just reverse the other directions. :)
you can layer as much as possible, it is very pretty and popular at this time of year. =) If you layer, you can but don't make it chunky because then it can look bulky. Don't put too many things on at once. good luck layering!! and Merry Christmas
you could start by using thinner shirts or tanks as the bottom layer, and then just add more shirts, getting thicker as you go. also, try wearing tighter shirts as the base layer then wearing a little bigger shirts so you have room to layer.
Wear a cute cami (plain or patterned) underneath a different colored short or long sleeved shirt (v-neck or polo). Reverse for cami over t-shirt.
I can't explain how to do double and other ways some people do it.
always start by wearing a long t shirt or tank top. Then throw on something of shorter length like a shirt then top off with something of even shorter length like a sweater :)
you might wanna try and putting a tighter shirt on inside layer and layreing the biger size tee/blouse or whatever on top .
tank top, then sweater over or hoodie over the tank top.

your whipped cream hasn't been whipped quite enough. If you're making whipped cream from scratch, stick a metal bowl and the wire beaters in the freezer and then keep whipping the cream until peaks form. The peaks must be thick to the point that when a spoon full of whipped cream is turned upside down, no cream falls.
If using the store bought kind (i.e. cool whip), use a teaspoon or two of vanilla instant pudding mix or flavorless gelatin to stiffen it up a bit.How can i keep the cream in my berry trifle from leaking into the other layers?

How many layers do you suspect you have?
Wow -what a terrific question ... time for a bit of introspection.
My knee-jerk response is that ';layers'; are infinite in the sense that all human beings have the inherent capacity for growth and development ... the ol' ';womb to the tomb'; continuum of life. Of course, each of the 6.7 billion people currently inhabiting the planet have different insight and interpretation to their own -and others- layers.
At a minimum, it seems reasonable to assert that we (all of us) have an outer layer that morphs depending on the situation. That is, there is this ';face we put on'; when we leave the home and engage the outer world. That face (and the attendant emotions, urges, etc. behind it) itself has multiple layers and seems to shift (change) as the conditions (work, play, friend, foe, stranger, lover, etc) change. In that sense, it's realistic to believe most of us peel through multiple layers on a daily basis.
Then there's the inner sanctum where the cauldron of hopes, dreams, genetics, conditioning, etc. are relentlessly stirred, presented for a moment -or more- then ushered back to the mix for further stirring. This process is driven (unwittingly) by forces contained under the ';who are you'; life-force. That is, these layers are never fixed, they're always being modified as new information, new stimuli, new challenges are presented to us.
For example, it is generally accepted that a 10-year-old viewing the portrait of the Mona Lisa internalizes something entirely different from a 30-year-old art gallery owner. That difference is absolutely significant in years alone (the evolution of ';layers';) and certainly it is relatively different when we shift the comparison to any two 30-year-olds viewing the same picture.
I'm not suggesting a ';schizophrenic'; process here ... I'm merely trying to articulate a position of the complexity and infinite depth of our personalities while suggesting there is a simultaneous ';beauty and beast'; contained within our DNA and that our layering is uniquely molded by both nature and nurture.
P.S. I'm older than 30 and (hopefully) not quite ready for the tomb.
How many layers do you suspect you have?

Why is the ozone layer thinning!?
i know its due to chloroflurocarbons but could someone just briefly explain to me why? Or how they are going into the atmosphere!?
pleaseWhy is the ozone layer thinning!?
CFC's, as you know, get into the ozone layer. But of course your question is how. Aerosol cans is your answer. But that was around 10+ years ago, aerosol cans are CFC free now. So no need to worry about it anymore.
If you don't know what an aerosol can is, it's any can that has trapped air in it (e.g. hairspray, air freshener).
EDIT: And the ozone layer replenishes quickly, so it's all fine by now.

A thin layer of magnesium fluoride (n=1.39) is deposited on a layer of glass (n=1.52).?
A thin layer of magnesium fluoride (n=1.39) is deposited on a layer of glass (n=1.52).
a. Find the speed of light in the magnesium fluoride and the glass.
b. Light with a wavelength of 400nm in a vacuum is reflected from the coating. What is the minimum thickness of the coating?A thin layer of magnesium fluoride (n=1.39) is deposited on a layer of glass (n=1.52).?
a) assuming:
n = v air / v film
Where n = refractive index of the film
v = speed of the light wave
v film = v air / n
v film = 3E8 / 1.39
v film = 2.16 E8
b) L (lambda...) = 400nm I'm not so sure about this one. You have to find the wavelength in the coating, which would be lambda/n:
400nm/1.39, and that's what we need to consider...
You want a coating thickness that results in a 2-way light path that produces a phase reversal between the first- and second-surface reflections.
But when light reflects from the boundary of a transition from low n to high n, the reflection itself produces a phase reversal. So for the n=1.39 coating, there is a reflection phase reversal and the 2-way path must produce an integer number wavelengths phase shift.
Yikes, is this ever easier with a diagram... are you good from here?

How would the ozone layer increase over time?
thank you!!!How would the ozone layer increase over time?
Starting in the 80's, cfcs have been pretty much banned in a lot of places. (causes ozone layer depletion) Since then, the reduction in cfc's has caused the ozone to recover some. Other things, like atmospheric wind levels, could be helping as well. Be sure to check out the article (below) its much more in depth

Can anyone tell me how to describe short layers to the hair dresser?
can anyone tell me how to describe short layers without cutting to much and short layers with not alot of height on top but just right .. and if you get short layers can you still keep the length and wats the difference between long layers and short layers? Can anyone tell me how to describe short layers to the hair dresser?
Long Layer are closer to your longest length of hair and short hairs are the shortest length of your hair.
I would get both.
And yeah you can keep your length. All you say is I would like long and short layers all around and you say if you want a lot of layer or a little. And remember to say DO NO TAKE OFF ANY LENGTH OF MY HAIR.Can anyone tell me how to describe short layers to the hair dresser?
Take in a picture of what you want your short layers to look like. That's what i do. And if you want to keep your length tell the hairdresser that.
Short layers- there are more layers than in long but they are smaller layers.
Long layers- there are less layers than in short layers because they are longer

If VHF & UHF signals are LOS (Line of sight), and the signal from the tx passes the ionosphere layer...?
Then how does the signal return to earth to the rcvr?If VHF %26amp; UHF signals are LOS (Line of sight), and the signal from the tx passes the ionosphere layer...?
The usual way to solve this problem of the transmitter signal vanishing into outer space is to install one or more repeater stations at elevated locations. High mountains work well, but satellites in orbit are also used.
The repeater station has a sensitive receiver that intercepts the VHF or UHF transmissions and it also has a powerful transmitter that re-transmits what the receiver intercepts. Usually the transmitter operates on a slightly different frequency than the receiver to avoid interferring with the receiver. Such repeaters are quite common on 2 meter, and higher frequency, amateur radio bands, allowing wide area communications between ';walkie talkie'; like transceiver units. Repeaters are also used commercially for transcontinental (over the horizon) communications. If VHF %26amp; UHF signals are LOS (Line of sight), and the signal from the tx passes the ionosphere layer...?
They don't normally.
Above a certain frequency ( maybe 30 MHz) the radio waves pass straight through the ionosphere and go into space outside the earth. This means that these signals will not be heard beyond the horizon at ground level. Aircraft or space vehicle listeners might still hear them though.
That is the normal situation.
However during times of high sunspot activity, layers of ionization form 70 to 200 miles above the earth that can reflect VHF signals. At such times, (not now), Radio Amateurs can use these frequencies to talk to each other at much greater distances than normal.
Also, such signals can bounce off meteors or even Auroras (Northern Lights in the northern hemisphere. ) This can also allow more distant reception.caption liquid color try toneer cartridges glycolic acid peel

How can I take my pictures (in photoshop) and combine them on one canvas as layers?
I want my pictures in one window as layers to I can align them by adjusting the opacity. I was able to do it recently but for some reason this new set of bmp photos wont let me drag and drop. How can I take my pictures (in photoshop) and combine them on one canvas as layers?
Most likely the color isn't RGB, it's Index. Bitmaps can be RGB, but frequently aren't. You can't work with layers in Index color. So...
Open the file, go to the Image pulldown menu at the top --%26gt; Mode and set it to RGB.
Hopefully that does it for you!

i also tried duplicating layer..but it was still grayed out.
so how do i do it?How to rasterize a layer?
You have to put something on the layer to rasterize it for example text or brush stroke anything you just gotta put something on the layer. Then you right click the layer and click ';Rasterize'; and voila.

How many years does it take for heat generated in the sun's core to reach its outer layer, the photospere?
Unknown really. Even though the quanta or photons of energy are moving around at light speed, there are so many of them inside the Sun's core that they constantly throw each other off course by bouncing around against each other. So, they can't maintain a straight line path through to the surface to be emitted into space. Some estimates have put it at thousands and even millions of years. It boggles the mind, but I'll listen to the astrophysicists and solar astronomers--they know what they're doing. How many years does it take for heat generated in the sun's core to reach its outer layer, the photospere?

deforestation is a major problem as that removes a major natural source for carbon sequestering and conversion of CO2 to oxygen.
burning of fossil fuels is the secondary cause of global warming and also affects our ecosystem.
as for direct destruction of the ozone layer, refrigerant CFCs, which are now banned, provide a highly volatile interaction with ozone, breaking it down and repeating with the radicalized free oxygen.

How do you put pictures in photoshop using layers?
Ok, so i am new to photoshop, i know how to make backgrounds, so i am in a process to create manga drawing in photoshop
But after i have drawn the background and Added a new layer%26gt; how do i stick them togather? like the background and the drawing?
If this process is wrong, can anyone help me thoruoghly and Easily!!How do you put pictures in photoshop using layers?
On a Mac you can use command+E to merge a selected layer down to the next layer. Or you can use the pull down menu called ';Layers';, and go all the way near the bottom to ';flatten image';.
I'd suggest saving an unflattened version, in case you want to more easily change something in the background, or in the top drawing, later on (save it as a PSD file), then saving your flattened version as a TIFF or PDF. 600 dpi or larger with the greatest height and width in inches that you'd like it to print out at. 600 dpi or larger for black and white line drawings. 300 dpi is fine for grayscale with shading, or colors...though you can't go wrong with 600 dpi if you have the processor power and harddrive space for saving the files that large. How do you put pictures in photoshop using layers?
There are a couple of ways to merge those layers together. Go up to the Layer menu and click it %26lt; Merge Visible (if there are only those two layers in your document) or Layer %26lt; Merge Down. I hope this helps!caption liquid color try toneer cartridges glycolic acid peel

How can i cut my hair into layers myself?
Do you have any videos to show me?How can i cut my hair into layers myself?
Reeally easy. Just use a comb to section off about an inch of hair all the way around the top of your head. (It should be parallel to your part.) Twist the whole section, holding it above your head and cut it to your desired length. Then twist it in the opposite direction and cut any uneven hairs. You can do that for all of your layers if you have multiple layers.
And remember, it's always easier to take more off later than wait for it to grow back. ;)

Unless your hair is already very even, I was told by a very good hair stylist that one's hair should appear to be layered with just a good trim. I suggest horizontally parting your hair in sections starting at the nape of the neck, first. Then, while using two mirrors to see the back of your head, identify what needs to be trimmed to make that section of hair appear to be even with healthy looking ends. If your hair is long enough, vertically part that section of hair in half and pull the left half to your front left. Next, trim the ends while looking in the mirror. You have to do a little at a time and consider the fact that the hairs that are closer to the middle of your neck will appear to be shorter when pulled to the front. Keep that in mind, trim a little at a time, then pull the hair to the back and glance in the mirror. While viewing the back of your head, see if that section is even and if the ends are healthy looking. If it is so, do the same with your right side. Once the section appears to be even straight across when viewing the back of your head, pin that section up. Next, horizontally part another section of hair and continue to do the same steps with each section until you work your way up. If a trim doesn't give you the look you want, because as a result the top sections are just as long as the bottom, then, start over. This time, trim the top sections a little more until the layered look you want is achieved. Remember, a ';very'; little at a time is the key to perfection considering the situation. I don't have a video to show you, but I can tell you that it's going to be time consuming. However, it's worth it if you really don't want to go to a professional.
if you don't want super choppy layers then i wouldn't do it yourself,
if you cut your own there going to be more choppy than if someone else did it no matter what.
but if you look up ';cutting hair into layers'; on youtube you'll find a million different videos that'll give you a step by step guide, or if your not into videos you could try looking that up on google and you'll find step by step guides that you can read.
Don't do it! Hairdressers can't even cut their own hair, so you won't be able to it. You have to have a special angle to cut hair well, and you can't physically make your own arms get into the right position!
Go to a salon to get them done - any cheap one can cut layers, if you're worried about cost. A more expensive salon will do them better, but if you're not worried about a 'perfect' hair-cut then a cheap hair cut would be fine. Or, you could be brave and volunteer to be a 'guinea pig' for practicing hairdressers, which is free.
well i dont have any videos but i cut my hair myself and what yo u do is you flip your head over and you put your hair in a pony tail on the top of your head so that it is close to you forehead take scissors and cut straight across the ponytail take it down and you have layers ... wait i found links lol......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-2_ep2yQZM
You probably don't want to hear this, but I advise NOT doing it. I tried it once and if you don't do it right, it looks HORRIBLE. You end up paying someone to fix it.
If you must, youtube has TONS of videos on an variety of stuff. I'm sure you can search there.
You can do it yourself. Take all of your hair and hold it straight up above your head. When you have decided on the length it stright across above your head. This will give you shorter layers on the top and long layers on the bottom. It works really nice.
You can take sections of your hair and pull them up so that they are at an 45 degree angle. Then you cut it straight. You put them back and you have layers. You probably can't do layers in the back. But a friend could do it the same way I described.

Why does it take more and more layers of pancake makeup lately to hide my acne?
Have they changed the formula? Why does it take more and more layers of pancake makeup lately to hide my acne?
It's not enough unless it cracks when you cry.Why does it take more and more layers of pancake makeup lately to hide my acne?
don't cover your face with all that makeup. it's only making it worse. !if your acne isn't going away try and use proactive. i've used it for 5 years and it works really well. but i think that after you use it for a really long time for some people become immune to it. so i've heard skinID is also really good. so i thin i may try that.
I found that a mouse consistency cover up is better than the cakey ones. It's easier to put on and doesn't feel all cakey. Make sure to wash your face at least two times a day. I like to use a harsher treatment once a day and then a more mild one once a day so you don't make your face all dry. I personally hate wearing cover up/ foundation so the mousse kind is very light and still covers things. Good luck with your acne!
this may sound weird but try it any way
get some new pillow case and change your pillow case every couple of days.
when you sleep your face will sweat some, not mention you are pressing your face against your pillow case and not letting your pores breathe like should.
Because you keep caking on the makeup it's making you acne worse. Wash your face every night and wear less makeup. Caking is not the answer.
Oh, I've got a special applicator that's called zillafilla.. it'll clear acne and any cobwebs you might have.. you'll be smokin' in no time.
Try Lizard Clayborne make up. It's made just for huge fire breathing lizards.

How many are just atiny bit curious to see what lays beneath those vast layers of ice ?
i mean with global warming slowly ,exposing the past ! i'm sure all geologists are exited as much as worried ! are you afraid of the outcome ,hey maybe the poles are rotating and some other area is freezing as fast as the present is melting !How many are just atiny bit curious to see what lays beneath those vast layers of ice ?
I am a bit curious not because I am wanting the ice to melt, and by the way I don't think it will anytime soon. Despite all the hoopla about it the Southernmost continent is in a cooling trend. but my curiosity is because I have heard there is a map of Antarctica that has quite a bit of detail on it and it was found in an archeaological site that is 1000' of years old.
evidently this map makes it pretty obvious that someone used to live there when it wasn't so terribly Cold and you could even farm the land.
Any one else heard any more about that? I would love to find some more info about it.How many are just atiny bit curious to see what lays beneath those vast layers of ice ?
its just natural. the earth is going to heat up for sometimes if we like it or not. maybe we will find something really cool.

Is the ozone layer hot?
how hot is it?Is the ozone layer hot?
Ozone affects climate, and climate affects ozone
Through pollution, we actually 'manufacture' ozone down here in the trophosphere. Unfortunately, at this time, there is not a way to capture the ';bad'; ozone and plug it into the ozone holes in the stratosphere.
here is a good site which explains ozone pollution:
http://science.howstuffworks.com/ozone-p鈥?/a>Is the ozone layer hot?
I would suppose it's hot, because that's what the sun hits first, but not a standard temperature all through. The temparature can vary, colder in the poles area and hotter near the ecuator. I suspose it can get as hot as 120 or 125 degrees farenhaid.
The ozone layer is a certain height in the atmosphere where the concentration of ozone is higher. At that point the temperatures are very low.
it is cold. ice cold. you would freeze to death if you were exposed to it without protection. Meteorites burn up on impact with it because of the speed they are moving and the friction between the gas and the rock.
I would think not. Since there must be matter (solid, liquid, or gas) to hold heat, and since ozone is a gas which is the least capable of holding heat, I would think it would be very cold. That isn't to say that you wouldn't get burned to a crisp if you were there.
The ozone layer (I believe) is loaded with radiation. Think of it this way. You can go outside on a cloudy day and still end up with a bad sunburn.
Yeah, totally is, I just was there and only wore my swim suit the whole time.... too hot for clothes...caption liquid color try toneer cartridges glycolic acid peel

Is the 7-Layer OSI model still valid or has anything changed about it in recent years?
Doesn't the whole concept of 3-tier computing need it to exist?

wear a long, charcoal coloured tank top under it (or it actually looks long so you should wear maybe a grey tank under it) but for the winter you could layer it with a cardigan... hmm.

-Skinnies
-Converse/Pumps
-Add on accessories

My friend wore something like that today. She wore it with a casual white button down shirt and a denim skirt and boots.
The jacket's adorable, I really like the white. (though I'd totally mess it up, haha)
I would just wear a t shirt like a v neck tee or really any kind...with the cream color you could wear really any color
i like the jacket : )
a laced cami would be really cute, or a long sleve patterned thermal would be really cute too!
