How can i keep the cream in my berry trifle from leaking into the other layers?

I'm trying to make a 4th of july berry trifle and i would like it to kind come out like the pics but the cream leaks into the other layers any ideas ?How can i keep the cream in my berry trifle from leaking into the other layers?
your whipped cream hasn't been whipped quite enough. If you're making whipped cream from scratch, stick a metal bowl and the wire beaters in the freezer and then keep whipping the cream until peaks form. The peaks must be thick to the point that when a spoon full of whipped cream is turned upside down, no cream falls.

If using the store bought kind (i.e. cool whip), use a teaspoon or two of vanilla instant pudding mix or flavorless gelatin to stiffen it up a bit.How can i keep the cream in my berry trifle from leaking into the other layers?
Did you remember to whip the cream?
